Workshop # 3 (August 4) THEME: Brave StoryBook: From Deconstruction to RECONSTRUCTION

Question: What do you want to see? What is working to restore communities?

Outcome of the Workshop: Celebrate what is working in your community. Consider your vision for change, for action. Create a Large Community BOOK, made up of pages placed together to create meaning and understanding of the issues brought forward in the BRAVE Stories Exhibit.

Directive:Bravely use collage materials to symbolize what you want to see. Consider using the deconstructed parts; torn papers or mono prints in your collage page. Your vision is one page of the greater BRAVE STORIES Community BOOK.

Materials: Various collage materials, tissue paper, glue, fabric and paint on large cardboard rectangles. Each page will be assembled to become part of the BOOK.

Closure: Come together in a circle discussion to share any meanings, surprises or insights you may have from engaging in the art making- or how the workshop may have affected your vision and perceptions of self and others.
