Spring Painting: Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of art by painting a Spring scene.

This art class will teach participants how to paint a portrait. Participants will learn techniques on enlarging, composition, replicating light, under painting, brush selection, and more.

Learn about the wide variety of power tools you may borrow from the DIY Education Center every first Thursday. We will discuss and demonstrate applications, safe use, and accessories you may need. No registration required.

Take STEM learning into real-world applications. Create your own edge-lit acrylic sign in the Glenwood Branch + Makerspace.  Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All attendees must register for the class.

Try your hand at needle-felting in this fun workshop. We will use white and brown wool to create adorable, needle-felted “chocolate” bunnies. Materials provided. 

Engineer a magnetic levitation machine. Explore the principles repulsive force, gravitational pull, magnetic fields, stability mechanisms, and feedback loops. Then paint the finished product.

Create a forest-themed Book of Secrets with thick cardstock, patterned paper, fibrous paper, mini-die cuts, stamps, ink, and matchbooks.

Learn to make reusable cleaning clothes to use in place of paper towel for Earth Day. We provide the sewing machine, tools, and fabric for the project.
