Learn the basics of composting. Composting reduces pressure on our landfills and recycles organic waste material into helpful soil supplements for gardens, container plants, and lawns.

Ages 7+ and grade 2-12. 7-8 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required.

Drop in and learn to fix a flat, raise a seat, adjust the brakes, or get answers to other basic cycling questions. Learn how and where to ride, cycling-related discounts, group rides and racing, commuting, and regular repair and maintenance.

Invasive plants seem to be multiplying every year and are a burden to every gardener.  Learn about invasive ornamental plants and weedy species, ways to deal with them, and how to make the right decisions for your landscape.

Use provided materials and objects to make and record sound effects in our AV lab, just like in film or radio! Make recordings to go along with a suspenseful story.

Walking is a great way to get some activity into your routine.  Lets get up and walk together. Come and walk around East Columbia Library. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle.
