A virtual event from Howard County Library System to help you make a difference!
Via presentations from local organizations, learn more about education and racial equity in Howard County, and ways to get involved and advocate for change. This event will be informative, interactive, and inspirational!
Speakers include representatives from:
- Equity4HC
- Howard County Chinese School
- Indian Cultural Association
- Jewish Community Relations Council
- NAACP, Howard County Branch
- Oakland Mills Online
- PFLAG, Columbia-Howard County
This virtual event is part of the Racial Equity and Local Action series, presented by Howard County Library System and sponsored by the Horizon Foundation, and follows Education and Civil Rights in the 21st Century featuring Dr. Pedro Noguera on November 15th. There are many organizations advocating for equity in education in Howard County: this event features organizations connected to the HCLS Racial Equity Alliance.
