This is something you want to be part of.
This month we will be discussing: Man made carbon pollution is bad for us and the planet: How can we eliminate it? During this conversation we'll explore the most important contributors to man made carbon pollution in the energy and transportation sectors, and some of the solutions that we can use to eliminate this pollution transitioning to clean energy.
Climate change seems to be everywhere in the news these days. You might also be hearing about it from people in your family, at work or in your social network. Maybe everything you hear makes perfect sense, or maybe you have questions. Wherever you are on the topic, you will find these discussions interesting and helpful.
This is a group where you can learn what we know about climate change in plain language and get all of your lingering questions answered. We’ll discuss how we know climate change is real, why scientists think we need to curb global temperature increase to less than 2oC, how climate change is already impacting our community, and other key questions.
In our monthly meetings, you will learn about the whole range of climate impacts and solutions in a friendly atmosphere with plenty of time for discussion.
Each month we’ll have a brief roundup of recent climate news, then a speaker from our community will discuss a climate-related topic. Finally, we’ll talk about one or more climate actions that we can use to help make a difference.
Our monthly discussions will be an easy way to get informed, get involved and become part of the solution with a group of like-minded folks from our community.
