Are you interested in 3D printing? Use 3D printing pens and colorful filaments to create unique 3D designs! This is a great class to introduce students to the basics of 3D printing. Taught by a HiTech instructor.

Drop-in to use the equipment in the A/V Studio! Record and mix music or create and edit movies with the help of a HiTech Instructor.
No registration required. Grades 6-12. 

3rd - 5th grade. 45-60 min. Registration required.

Have ideas for future teen classes and events? Want to help with our teen collections by making suggestions and being a beta reader? Want to hang with other cool library teens and earn service hours?

For children transitioning from early readers to chapter books. After reading the title, join us for fun activities that include reading comprehension exercises and games.

Drop in. Ages 11 - 15

Need an easy, inexpensive, thoughtful gift idea?  Using the Cricut machine to create a stencil and then etch your design onto a glass vase in this make it/take it class.  Ages 18+ only. All materials will be provided.

Explore and engage in various STEM activities through self-guided stations.

Create and self publish your own independent magazine. Often referred to as a 'Zine, these DIY publications are created by folding paper into a booklet, and offer authors and artists a wide variety of content, style, and freedom when publishing.

This class an in-person class designed for intermediate English language learners who wish to improve their English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.  The class meets in HCLS Central Branch.

Ticket required. Free tickets will be available 15 minutes before class.

Read and discuss a wide array of graphic novels. 2nd Thursdays 7 - 8 pm.

In collaboration with Columbia Association, Howard County Library System's Miller Branch hosts a monthly World Languages Café, on the 2nd Thursday evening, from 7 - 8:45 pm.

These classes are for adult English language learners at intermediate levels. The classes meet twice a week on Tue. & Thur., 7-9pm.  If you're new to this program, you will receive an email invitation to attend an orientation.
