Caroline County Public Library welcomes Christine A. Platt (aka The Afrominimalist), for a virtual author visit, discussion, and Q&A session.

Ms. Platt is a historian, activist, and author.  Her books, The Truth about Awiti, a novel merging historical and spiritual explorations of the ongoing effects of slavery and racism, and Dear Ancestors, a collection of Poetry, focus on the transatlantic slave trade and the African diaspora. She has also written a series of children’s books, the Ana & Andrew series, which teaches young readers about African-American history and culture.This program is presented in partnership with the Caroline County Council of Arts and with support from Howard County Library System.
