Come on board. It’s your one-stop trip to higher-level math! In this course, we’ll be reviewing one-variable statistics and linear equations, inequalities, and systems.

Compete in the ultimate racing challenge! Working in teams, learn how mechanical systems operate by using a 1:10 scale electric radio-controlled car that can be set up in 4 million ways. Teams race their engines at the HiTech Carnival!

Prerequisite: Must have attended all sessions of Wonders of Chemical Reactions 1 in order to qualify for class.

Learn about the fashion industry from concept to delivery, the role of science, and how to use technology to create selected outfits and original fashion design ideas

The students will do a deep dive into some of the marine environments they see often but know little about.

Learn the structure and design of artificial intelligence. Explore the concepts needed to program a human-to-robot interactive conversation and investigate recent technological advances like the Amazon Echo.

Engineer a Skee Ball Game for the HiTech Carnival!  Build this classic carnival game from scratch using Arduino micro-controllers, sensors and software to keep score of your game. Highest score wins!

Looking for dedicated time to work on projects? Bring stitching you'd like to finish, connect with others, and share ideas and tips. Drop in anytime between 10 am and 12 pm.

Learn the basics of HTML elements and User Interface (UI) design through Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

If it's not a boat, plane, or car, then what is it? It's a hovercraft! Learn about how these vehicles defy gravity as you collaborate with other students to build a life-size, functional hovercraft.

Use Adobe After Effects to create custom animations for your videos.  Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in using Adobe After Effects tools and features, including keyframing, masking, and working with layers.   &

Join us for an in-person viewing of the Inclusion Showcase, a collaborative virtual presentation spearheaded by the Maryland State Library for the Blind and Print Disabled (LBPD) and Maryland Accessible Telecommunications (MAT).

Are you interested in 3D printing? Use 3D printing pens and colorful filaments to create unique 3D designs! This is a great class to introduce students to the basics of 3D printing.

Dive into the Arduino philosophy of learning through tinkering, problem solving, and rapid prototyping.

Discover the basics of Java, a class-based, object-oriented language used to design applications. Learn data and expressions, using classes and objects, conditionals, and loops.

Students will create their own spaces using Planner 5D, a web-based program.  They will learn about creating mood boards, design concepts, and using Planner 5D to bring their ideas to life!

Learn the basics of programming in Python! Create games, interactive programs, and anything else you want. Absolutely no experience required -- you'll learn how to program a basic game in the first class!
