This is an in-person class designed for adult English language learners. Improve your reading level and English language knowledge with evidence-based strategies that build your reading skills.

This class is designed for English language learners. Improve your spoken English as we focus on listening and speaking skills with an emphasis on everyday pronunciation, intonation, and stress, as well as unique American rhythms.

This class is designed for English language learners who are interested in taking the US citizenship exam. You'll receive an email invitation to attend an orientation first.  This orientation is required for all participants. 

Ages 3-5 with adult. Ticket required. Only 12 spots available.

High School Midterm Study Space

For high school students, but 11 & up are welcome | Walk-in only, no registration needed, feel free to register for a reminder.

Explore human and physical geography and expand your spatial thinking while learning about where you live.

Can you help Colby the programmable robot mouse get to the cheese?  Learn some of the basics of computer coding to navigate the mouse through a maze!

Drop-in to use the equipment in the A/V Studio! Record and mix music or create and edit movies with the help of a HiTech Instructor. Registration is not required, and walk-ins are welcome.

This class an in-person class designed for intermediate English language learners who wish to improve their English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.  The class meets in HCLS Central Branch.

Ages 6-10.  45 min.  Ticket required.

Learn about ancient Egypt and the discovery of King Tut's tomb, with all of his treasures. Includes stories, activities, and a craft. 

Explore various culinary cuisines/chefs of the world. A new cuisine/chef every month. This month's cuisine is the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond.

Growing vegetables and flowers from seed during the winter in preparation for spring and summer gardens is fun and rewarding.

Bas Bleu, French for “bluestocking,” refers to an intellectual or literary woman.  We read a variety of literary fiction, and all are welcome – not just bluestockings!
