On the fourth Tuesday of each month HCLS co-hosts an online roundtable focusing on a local business owned by a Person of Color in Howard County.  The owner shares the experiences and challenges they face as a local business owner. The discussion is moderated by Nat Alston, Chair and Founder of the Ujamaa Business Roundtable. Includes time for Q&A.

In partnership with Ujamaa Business Roundtable, a roundtable of African-American business owners from the counties of Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, Baltimore and Baltimore City. 

The featured guest of the April Business Roundtable is Cindi Mitchell, Chief Talent Finder and CEO, Blue Flaire

Cindi Mitchell is the CEO and Co-Founder of Blue Flaire, LLC.  Blue Flaire is an IT Recruitment and Staffing Firm with a client-first approach.  Her company serves many sectors including information technology, healthcare technology, government contracting, and small business enterprises.

Blue Flaire is known for their broad and deep knowledge of hiring and retention, transparency, follow-through on work deliverables.  Their specialty is in staffing key personnel for government contracts for various Federal agencies to include civilian, defense and the intelligence community.

Cindi is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and is involved with various community and professional organizations including Howard County Human Resources Society, in which she served as a Past President.  She currently serves as the 2nd Vice Chair of the Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce, Co-Chair of the Women in Tech Executive Roundtable for the Maryland Innovation Center, Member of the Women in Tech Steering Committee for the Maryland Innovation Center and Board Member for This Point Forward.  

Cindi’s newest initiative is bringing Young Women of Color who are studying in the technology and engineering fields to discuss and learn from local technology leaders on how to prepare for their upcoming careers. 

Cindi has lived and worked in Howard County for over 15 years.  During her free time, you may find her playing and mixing music at local restaurants, hosting corporate events and other celebrations.
