Join members of Howard Asian American Pacific Islanders (HAAPI) for an engaging, creative afternoon learning about and creating zines. ZINES, short for MagaZINEs, are small, handmade, self published booklets, used to share ideas and promote self expression. Members of HAAPI will give you a brief crash course all about zines, then you'll use our materials to make your own following any theme you choose.
***WANT TO ENTER YOUR ZINE IN OUR COMPETITION? In partnership with HAAPI, Howard County Library System's Miller Branch is hosting a zine competition in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islanders month (May). The contest will be announced April 21st, but come to this class to learn all about zines and then compete!
