Tamekia A. Graham is an entrepreneur, self-published author and founder of an organization that supports education for students in Jamaica.  In this virtual presentation, Ms. Graham will read from her book of poems, Raking Leaves, and discuss her writing process.

 

Tamekia A. Graham was born in Jamaica and migrated to Bronx, New York at twelve years old to live with her paternal grandmother.  She holds a B.A. from the Catholic University of America and a Project Management Certification from Cornell University.  She is the owner-operator of Amoy Boucher, LLC.  Tamekia is also the founder of The 429 project, an organization that gives educational scholarships to students in Jamaica.  She is the host of The 429 Project podcast.
