Principles of Composition

When we look at a painting, we might be impressed with the technique that it displays, how it reflects reality, or the emotion that it projects. In order to influence the way we experience a painting, a good artist will have made use of the principles of composition. Discover some of the most common principles that artists use in the European tradition.
