Event Details

Can YOU solve a murder?

  • Is the red stain found at the crime scene blood?
  • If it is, how can blood typing be used to exonerate potential suspects?
  • Can blood drops at a crime scene be used to tell what happened?

In this exciting class, students will have the opportunity to become crime scene technicians as they perform a simulated test for the presence of blood on evidence collected from 2 suspects in a murder case. They will then use synthetic blood typing to test whether either suspect can be linked to the crime and analyze and interpret bloodstain patterns to determine what may have happened.

Can YOU figure out whodunit?

No actual blood will be used.
