WHAT IS TEEN CONNECT?

Are you ready to dive into the experience of fun, laughter, and endless possibilities? Welcome to our new Teen Connect Program (for those entering 6th-12th grade in the Fall), where the library transforms into a hub of energy, creativity, and friendship!

Step into a world where socializing becomes an adventure and where new friendships blossom. Our program is specifically designed to bring teens together in an environment that combines the best of fun, games, hanging out, and meeting incredible new people. Picture a place where your favorite board games and video games collide, where you can challenge your friends to epic battles, showcase your skills, and revel in the joy of friendly competition. Teen Connect is all about meeting new people and having fun. Together, we'll create an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome, respected, and appreciated for who they are.

Teen Connect is the ultimate destination for teens like you who crave a safe place to hangout, seek adventure, and believe that amazing memories are just a game or activity away. Don't miss out on this opportunity to expand your horizons and have a ton of fun!

This is a drop-in program - no registration or tickets required. Come anytime during the program and stay as little or as long as you want.

 

THE THEME FOR THIS CONNECTION IS BREAK A RECORD

How much jello could YOU eat in a minute with chopsticks? How quickly can YOU arrange Mr. Potato Head blindfolded? How many crackers can YOU eat in one minute, one at a time? How many sticky notes can YOU stick to your face in one minute? Come & try your luck at breaking these Guinness World Records and more! Prizes will be given out to the Miller Record Holders at the end.

In addition, we'll set up the PS5 for video games, have colored pencils out for coloring and creating your own art, play board games like chess or Clue, etc.

As always, this event counts as a class and all attendees will get a Monthly Raffle Ticket for your chance at Summer Reading Prizes!
