STEM Summer: Solar Oven

Learn how to harness the energy of the sun to cook tasty treats like S'mores. In this STEM teen taught activity, you will build your very own simple solar oven that can be used to cook, dry herbs, sterilize water, etc. by concentrating light to increase thermal energy using a low-cost, ecologically-friendly technology. We'll also discuss the pros and cons of clean energy and its environmental effects.

Unfortunately, we can't eat what we cook during this class.
