The League of Women Voters of Howard County and Howard County Library System invite you to join us for Speed Date the Candidates.

The Howard County Board of Education candidates will interact with attendees in a round robin style format, and the League of Women Voters will be on hand to help register people to vote and answer questions. 

This year the non-partisan candidates for the Howard County Board of Education are: Tudy Adler, Linfeng Chen, Jacky McCoy and Dan Newberger.

Here's how Speed Date the Candidates will work: 

  • At 6:30 pm, each candidate will have one minute to give a brief introduction.
  • Following introductions, each candidate will be seated at a table where registered attendees will visit individually or in small groups for 3-minute conversations.
  • At the end of three minutes, a bell will ring and attendees will switch tables.
  • Event staff will be available to answer questions and facilitate movement between candidates. 

This event is in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Howard County.
