“Podcasting equipment is expensive.” “I don’t know if I can fully commit to my podcast idea.” If this sounds like you, you’ve found the perfect class to try everything podcast-related! In this session, students will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on workshop, where they will experiment with different microphones, develop potential podcast topics, and practice podcast hosting skills with professional equipment, no commitment necessary.

(Wednesday, July 20th, 3-4pm) Editing with Audacity

In this session, students will learn the crucial functions of the free audio editing software Audacity that every podcaster needs to know, including how to normalize volume, align segments, remove/silence audio, and more. You do not need any prior experience to be able to master these skills and beginners are very welcome to join.

Computers with Audacity installed will be provided.
