I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to be. - Sami Steigmann

Sami Steigmann, a Holocaust Survivor, shares his story of survival and his message for today. Born in 1939, Steigmann survived from 1941 through 1944 in a labor camp in Mogilev-Podolsky before he was liberated along with his parents. One of the youngest living Holocaust survivors, he now works to educate and motivate, promoting tolerance and empowerment.

Sami Steigmann invites your questions. You can submit them here or in person at the event on Tuesday evening.

In partnership with the Columbia Association International Exchange and Multicultural Programs.
