Get a free professional headshot photo at the Central Branch!

Headshot photos are a great way to make a positive first impression and connect with others for your business or job seeking needs. Registration for this event is required to ensure that each attendee will have a 5 minute photography session with the professional photographer.

Each attendee will be able to select their preferred headshot photo during their photo session. Attendees will receive one digital photo after the headshot photo session, via email, after post processing by the professional photographer. No substitutions, no additional edits, no additional images, etc. will be available. Your name and email addresses will be collected at the beginning of the event so that you receive your digital photo individually and to ensure everyone's information remains private from other attendees.

Please keep in mind that these images are for personal use only, no third party use, and Howard County Library System retains copyright and ownership of all images.

Tips to prepare for your individual headshot:

  • Dress to match your prospective job role. Business attire recommended.
  • It is best to wear a solid, neutral colored top. Try to avoid clothing with logos or patterns.
  • Due to photo shoot time restrictions, individuals will not be able to change clothes during the photo shoot.
  • If you wear glasses, be sure to bring them to the session.
  • The number of photos taken during the session is at the discretion of the professional photographer.
  • There are no appointments. Your photo will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. The first photo session begins at 4:00 pm, and the last photo session will end at 6:00 pm.
