One of the many impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic is the increase in financial exploitation and the use of scams making it harder for consumers to bounce back and get back on track financially. More than 3.5 million older adults are victims of financial exploitation each year suffering an average loss of $34,200. We are all at risk but what can seniors do to protect themselves? Participants of this workshop are introduced to the ways that scams work, and how scammers can be so successful in obtaining their info. This workshop will help you identify tactics and schemes used to obtain your personal information and measures that you can take to keep your identity secure.
