Join community members for an online discussion of Ross Gay's award winning Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude.

Participate in the National Endowment of the Arts' Big Read, a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and Arts Midwest, which broadens our understanding of our world, our neighbors, and ourselves through the power of a shared reading experience. Showcasing a diverse range of themes, voices, and perspectives, the NEA Big Read aims to inspire meaningful conversations, artistic responses, and new discoveries and connections in each community.

Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude is a sustained meditation on that which goes away—loved ones, the seasons, the earth as we know it—that tries to find solace in the processes of the garden and the orchard. This is a book that studies the wisdom of the garden and orchard, those places where all—death, sorrow, loss—is converted into what might, with patience, nourish us.

Register with an email address to receive the Zoom link.

Copies of the book are available for pick up at the Central Branch, while supplies last.

Presented in partnership with NEA and Maryland Public Television.
