Sleepless Maple is a story about a Maple tree who couldn’t fall asleep. Her friends, Mr. Earthworm, Lady Butterfly and Sparrow helped her have a peaceful sleep. The story aims to help children deal with their emotions, especially fears and anxiety that can lead to sleeplessness.

Mona in a Mesh is a story about a girl who learns empathy, friendship, kindness, selflessness and understanding from the Monarch butterfly that her parents gave for her birthday.

Salvacion Reyes, goes by her childhood name Roselle, is a registered nurse in our community hospital by profession, but her compassion and love for nature branches out to her creativity. She was born and raised in the Philippines and migrated here in the US in 2002.  She is a mother of three children. Her family has lived here in Howard County since 2005. Today, Roselle writes poetry about nature in her social media accounts, reads children’s books on her YouTube channel, and writes and illustrates picture books whenever she is not working in the healthcare facility.
