Baltimore-based award-winning journalist Lawrence Lanahan discusses his acclaimed book The Lines Between Us: Two Families And A Quest To Cross Baltimore's Racial Divide. Lanahan has worked in print and radio journalism for over a decade publishing with Columbia Journalism Review The New York Times Slate Al Jazeera America NBCnews.com Colorlines APM's Marketplace PRI's Studio 360 and NPR's Morning Edition. He holds two master's degrees: one in journalism from Columbia University and one in sociology from American university. He has taught at the University of Baltimore Goucher College Howard Community College Lehman College and the Goucher Prison Education Partnership. Lanahan writes performs and produces music in Baltimore sometimes with the band Disappearing Ink. He lives in Baltimore with his wife and two sons. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
