Laura Wolf: Artist in Residence Drop in Studio Hours

Howard County Library System is proud to announce that local artist Laura Wolf is our 2019 Artist in Residence. Visit her library studio this summer and watch as she creates vibrant paintings ask questions and learn more about her artistic process technique and approach. Be inspired to create a vinyl bird for an art installation on the Miller Branch windows. "I am an elementary art teacher and freelance artist. My students' enthusiasm for the natural world has helped to revitalize my own. I often draw inspiration from photographs I've taken at various zoos aquariums parks and wildlife refuges. When I paint I am striving to capture the unique personality of each object and creature; some are beautiful some are strange and some are beautifully strange.
