Join us in July for an exciting International Grocery Store tour featuring Persian cuisine!

On Wednesday, July 24th, from 3-4 PM, our tour guide, a native of Iran, will lead a group of 15 participants through the Caspian Supermarket, located at 9191 Baltimore National Pike, Ste 1, Ellicott City, MD 21042. During the tour, you'll learn about the fundamentals of Persian cuisine, receive recipes and their essential ingredients, and discover where to find them in the store. Additionally, participants will receive a curated list of cultural resources, including history, literature, travel information, and culinary traditions.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers interested in sharing their cultural recipes and leading tours of grocery stores where these ingredients can be found. If you have a favorite recipe from Chinese, Guatemalan, Indian, Irish, Jamaican, Mexican, Turkish, or any other global cuisine, and are willing to guide a tour, please contact Diane Li by emailing: diane.li@hclibrary.org.
