Watch and discuss the film The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, based on Rebecca Skloot’s critically acclaimed 2010 nonfiction best-seller of the same name.

This HBO Films drama tells the true story of Henrietta Lacks, becomes an unwitting pioneer for medical breakthroughs when her cells are used to create the first immortal human cell line in the early 1950s.

A discussion follows the screening.
