Event Details

This program offers an introduction to cultural traditions commonly observed across South Asian and Middle Eastern communities, highlighting how shared customs bring people together around food, creativity, and community. Participants will explore how these traditions are practiced in different regions around the world and how they shape everyday life and social connection.

The experience includes three interactive components:

Food & Gathering Traditions:
Learn about foods often prepared for communal evening meals and explore the cultural significance of sharing food with family, friends, and neighbors.

Henna Corner:
A creative space where participants can receive simple henna designs on their hands while learning about its history and use across South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures.

Clothing & Style Corner:
A hands-on demonstration of traditional head coverings, fabrics, and styles from South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures, with an opportunity for participants to try them on and learn about their cultural and social meanings.

Registration is encouraged to help us plan and prepare for the event.

All are welcome to learn, explore, and connect in a friendly and inclusive environment.
