The Howard County Library System and the Howard County Historical Society invite you to hear award-winning author Ned Tillman share his experiences as an earth scientist, preservationist, and author.

Ned Tillman will share his first hand stories of exploration, exploitation, remediation, and preservation in Howard County and beyond. He will offer insights as to the importance of the democratic process to create a balance between humans and nature.

Mr. Tillman offers a historical perspective of environmental and climate change issues, natural history, Maryland history, and the use of fiction and creative non-fiction to inspire people to care for the Earth and to take action to preserve it.

This free event is co-sponsored by the Howard County Library System and the Howard County Historical Society.
