Join the Conversation as we celebrate Booker Prize winner, Bernardine Evaristo with guest discussion leader Erika Carruth from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Evaristo's novel Girl, Woman, Other won the Booker Prize in 2019. Attendees will explore how this impacting novel challenges timeless issues regarding race and feminism.
Erika Carruth is the founder of the Maryland Humanities Book Discussion Group for Diversity and a member of The Maryland Institute College of Art’s Presidential Task Force on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Bernardine Evaristo is the first woman of color to win the most coveted literary prize in the English-speaking world.
