Program Description

Event Details

Please join us for this new quarterly series wherein we will watch films about humans, since all great stories involve great characters, and then we'll discuss them with our fellow humans.

We meet every fifth Thursday of the month (roughly every three months) at either our Elkridge or East Columbia branch.

The movies are available on DVD from the library collection or via Kanopy streaming service.  You can watch the movie at the library with us on Dec 29th, or watch it on your own in advance and then attend the discussion (that will take place after the screening) with your fellow humans, facilitated by library instructors.

Dec 29th at 6:00 PM: Licorice Pizza   (Rated R; this title is available via DVD in the library collection and via Kanopy)

  • The story of Alana Kane and Gary Valentine growing up, running around, and falling in love in the San Fernando Valley, 1973.

For questions, please email eco.askhcls@hclibrary.org or elk.askhcls@hclibrary.org. Screening location will alternate between the East Columbia and Elkridge Branches throughout this series.
