Please join us for this new bimonthly series wherein we will watch films about humans, since all great stories involve great characters, and then we'll discuss them with our fellow humans.

The movies are available on DVD from the library collection or via Kanopy streaming service.  You can watch the movie at the library with us on Sep 29, or watch it on your own in advance and then attend the discussion (that will take place after the screening) with your fellow humans, facilitated by library instructors.

Sep 29th at 6:30 PM: Pig   (Rated R; this title is available via DVD in the library collection and via Kanopy)

  • The movie "Pig" is about a truffle hunter who lives alone in the Oregonian wilderness and must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped

For questions, please email eco.askhcls@hclibrary.org or elk.askhcls@hclibrary.org. Screening location will alternate between the East Columbia and Elkridge Branches throughout this series.
