Edward and Christina Sledge wrote and published their memoir, The Story of Christina and I: A Real Life Urban Fairy Tale, during the COVID-19 pandemic. High school sweethearts, their memoir is about triumph over tragedy. Both are first-generation college graduates. They were also the first to obtain master's degrees in their families. They have been married for twenty-three years.

In 2021 they founded Sledge House Media, a multi-platform media company created to share diverse and compelling stories through books, films, TV, digital and audio projects that highlight relationships, unique perspectives, and experiences.
