Registration Required. Register for one workshop only. Must be 18+ to participate. We want to see life in Howard County through your eyes. Where do you find joy? Where do you see challenges? What do you wish others knew about how you experience life in this community? In the tradition of ìGreat Democratic Artî Howard County Library System puts cameras in the hands of nearly 100 people throughout the various neighborhoods in Howard County. Take part in a workshop and group photo exhibition showcasing life in Howard County Maryland. Participants are required to use disposable cameras provided by HCLS and submit photos that offer authentic views into the lives and activities of Howard County residents and workforce. Workshop I includes information on the project the history of street photography guidance on composition and participants will receive a disposable camera. Workshop II focuses on developing an artist statement and selecting a photograph. No experience with photography is required. This two part workshop will culminate with a group photo exhibition at the Central Branch in May.
