Expressive Arts Maker Camp: The Art of Calligraphy

Event Details

Ages 11-18yrs |  *Register to secure your seat, register for each class separately.  Walk in students will be allowed as space allows  {Students are not required to attend both classes...but we hope you will!}  

*Registered students must be present at the beginning of each class or your spot may be given away to walk in students. If you find that you cannot attend for any reason, please cancel your registration so that others may attend.

 

Spend your afternoon immersed in expressive arts and allow your creativity to soar! Remember to complete a Summer Reading Raffle Ticket for each class you attend, that's up to 2 tickets!

THIS CLASS: 2-3:30pm: The Art of Calligraphy -  Step back in time and explore calligraphy, learn about the various pen tips, experiment with various calligraphy materials, including traditional pen holders, various pen tips, and dipping ink, as well as modern calligraphy markers, as you practice calligraphy lettering. 3:30-4pm: Snack & stretch break - Take a break, have a snack, walk around, peruse a book. We'll have a few snacks to choose from, but feel free to bring your own.

4-6pm Hand Sewn Journals - Create a custom journal for writing about your day, your dreams or drawing from the heart. Select from various filler papers, and covers, then you’ll use a simple stitching technique to bind them together. If there is time, use our various pens and stamps to decorate your cover. Register using THIS link.
