Your BGE Energy Bills: Why your bill is so high and what you can do to lower it.

Have you noticed that your energy bills have been getting more expensive? Have you already tried the usual ways to lower your bill and you are still looking for ways to lower your monthly cost? Join Laurel Peltier for an informative discussion of ways to reduce your costs.

Laurel Peltier is an energy writer and advocate focused on ensuring that Maryland's 430,000 low-income families can afford their home energy bills. She also serves as AARP Maryland's utility advocate and chairs the state coalition that works with agencies and legislators to develop and implement programs that truly serve residential customers. Her work on residential retail choice culminated in the passage of SB1, a landmark reform of Maryland's retail energy choice market. Beyond her policy work, Laurel volunteers at Maryland’s Critical Medical Needs Program, directly helping families manage their utility bills and energy assistance.
