Event Details

Master Gardeners and Recycling Coordinators discuss and demonstrate composting on a drop-in basis, teaching about:

  • Composting kitchen scraps and yard trimmings in your backyard or using the Feed the Green Bin (for Howard County residents only)
  • Troubleshooting or advising for maintaining your home backyard composting efforts or participating in the GreenBin compost collection program
  • Improving your soil’s health by incorporating compost 
  • The impact of composting on climate
