Join Us for a Vibrant Celebration of Burmese New Year

Location: Elkridge Branch Library and DIY Center

 

Immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of Myanmar at our Burmese New Year Water Festival! Step into a world of color, tradition, and joy as we come together to celebrate the arrival of the new year in the Burmese calendar on April 21 Sunday 2-4pm at the Elkridge Branch Library & DIY Center. After commencing with a short slide show introducing the Burmese culture, the celebration will feature a variety of engaging activities designed to deepen your understanding and appreciation of Myanmar culture and heritage:

 

  • Thanaka Making Station 

  • Burmese New Year Bingo

  • Burmese Traditional Dance

  • Water Festival Ceremony
