Calling aspiring Crime Scene Detectives! Carterville Creek, located in the small town famous for Carter Creek Paper and Plastics, is polluted! You must learn the nature of the contamination, locate its source, and find the culprit responsible using forensic science to test the water samples.

Maryland STEM Festival

Class materials: Universal indicator, D Test, Polycrit, LeadStat, and MercuTest. Contains no phthalates, mercury, or lead products or samples. Simulated chemical processes using ethyl alcohol, denatured; calcium chloride; magnesium sulfate heptahydrate; potassium iodide; and muriatic acid solution. Non-latex gloves and safety goggles provided and required.
