THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Howard County Library System and the Medication and Conflict Resolution Center (MCRC) invite you to participate in a conversation about life on the north end of the half century mark. It's funny how that milestone has the power to change how people view and relate to one another and to life. Sure it's a time when many folks begin to experience physical and health changes perhaps some new aches reduced stamina decreased vision or hearing or other health challenges but it can also be a time of great freedom.

Many people in their 50s and beyond report that they no longer feel they have to prove themselves to others that they are reaping the benefit of all their life experiences with greater knowledge of themselves and their place and worth in the world. And they care deeply about their families and communities. Some of the topics to be explored in this dialogue may include: quality of living as we age; what do you want your concerned loved ones to know; plans/goals for this next chapter in your life; how well does your community support folks over 50; changes in family dynamics/structure; having challenging conversations with significant people in your life (aging process physical and/or mental health support maintaining independence).

This is your conversation - MCRC is here to facilitate - and an opportunity to hear and be heard. Who is this dialogue designed for? Anyone really. When folks are provided the opportunity to listen and be heard greater understanding and acceptance is promoted. Bring yourself bring a loved one or a friend.
Let's see where the conversation takes us.

Registration required.

Facilitated by the Mediation and Conflict Resolution Center.
