Join HCLS and the Ujamaa Business Roundtable for a monthly online series highlighting local businesses owned by People of Color in Howard County. Each session features a guest entrepreneur sharing their journey, challenges, and insights into running a successful business.

Moderated by Nat Alston, Chair and Founder of the Ujamaa Business Roundtable, these discussions include time for audience questions—giving you the chance to learn directly from active business owners.

This month’s guest is Gwendolyn Turner, a Washington, D.C.–area Group Travel Expert who creates personalized, seamless group travel experiences. She will share her story, business insights, and advice for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Gwendolyn Turner is the Founder of Turner World Travel, a group travel company centered on escorted journeys and multi-day bus trips that bring people together in meaningful ways. Her work focuses on creating shared travel experiences that foster connection, reflection, and personal growth.

With a background in hospitality and years of experience leading groups, she designs travel as a platform for community and transformation.
