The discussion is moderated by Nat Alston, Chair and Founder of the Ujamaa Business Roundtable. Includes time for Q&A.

In partnership with Ujamaa Business Roundtable, a roundtable of African-American business owners from the counties of Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, Baltimore and Baltimore City.

The November Business Roundtable features Funlayo Alabi, owner of Shea Radiance.

Funlayo Alabi and her husband Shola co-founded Shea Radiance, a natural beauty brand that manufactures hair and body care products using clean and effective ingredients. Their mission is to influence the way women care for themselves and their loved ones by providing products that make them feel beautiful and powerful.

Her business was born out of the need to find a natural solution for her young children’s eczema-prone skin. That need sent her on a quest to her homeland of West Africa, where she rediscovered the healing properties of Shea butter.

An integral part of the Shea Radiance mission is to empower the 16 million African women who are involved in the processing of Shea nuts and butter, and connect them with women around the world who benefit from their artisan craftsmanship. Funlayo believes in the power of economic access and what can happen when women reach out to lift other women.

Shea Radiance products can be found in Whole Foods Markets, Roots, Moms Organic Market, Edies of Roland Park and Green Valley Markets. Learn more at https://shearadiance.com/
