Event Details

Learn the art on Bonsai through a presentation. This presentation will discuss types of plants, pots, tools and other resources to get started with bonsai. 

OPTIONAL, after the presentation, participants may bring their own plant, and a pruning tool like small shears or just scissors and get some hands-on help. We will be providing a basic pot, bonsai soil and wires for shaping the tree.  

Suggestions for bonsai plants : (Outdoor)  Maple, Chinese Elm, Common Spruce, Chinese Juniper, Cypress (Indoor) Ficus, all figs, Dwarf Umbrella, Jade, Chinese Banyan​

Resource Suggestions : All the local nurseries, Home Depot etc. should have plants you may bring. If you already have a plant at home that is suitable, you may bring that as well.
