Just as some flowers require the dark to bloom, some people do their best growing and becoming during dark and challenging times. In the hope-inspiring book, Night Bloomers: 12 Principles for Thriving in Adversity, clinical psychologist, Michelle Pearce, PhD, provides practical tools and wisdom for transforming and thriving in adversity and loss.
In this journaling workshop, Dr. Pearce will teach you how to use writing to heal and transform your life not in spite of your difficult times, but because of them. You will be led through a series of writing prompts to help you “bloom in the dark.” You will also receive tips on how to start your own blooming journal. No writing experience necessary.
Library will supply paper and pens. If you prefer to use your own journal, please bring it to class.
