Author H.P. Shreve discusses her new historical novel, The Long Blue Shadow, which captures the spirit of the Interwar years through the eyes of Arthur Shreve, a principled and ambitious young man drawn to military service. With rich prose, cinematic detail, and layered emotional depth, the novel paints a vivid portrait of life, family, and duty in the aftermath of the Great War.

 

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

H.P. Shreve is an award-winning screenwriter, author, historian, and master artist who has dedicated the past decade to amplifying the voices of people in service and exploring the heroic impulse in film projects, TV series, articles, and books.

Her latest trilogy, The Illumina Trilogy, illuminates a legacy of service. Shreve's family has served in the US Army in succession since 1775.
