FOR GRADES 6th-12th.  

In 40 minutes, what can you create?  Bring just your imagination to Art Wars, a fun class series giving artists a safe space to create based on a common theme.  This month create paper mosaic artwork inspired by two prominent LatinX artists to honor Hispanic Heritage Month.  You'll learn a little about each artist's work, then have 40 minutes to create your own. Enter the contest for a chance to win a prize, or just create and enjoy!  Materials provided. 

  • Dress for mess! 
  • Ticketed Class / No registration: arrive at the Children's desk 15 minutes before class for a ticket.
  • Prize categories will be 6th-8th grades & 9th-12th grades (we may merge groups depending on attendance). 
  • Students can only use materials available in this class.(students are not permitted to bring their own art supplies)
  • Each student entering the contest will be able to vote on winners.
  • If you'd like, we'll display your art at the library!
