Due to winter weather advisories, this event has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 1st! Hope to see you then. 

Drop-in for a community read -a-thon in honor of Black History Month. Howard County Library System is proud to participate in the African American Read -In. 

Participants can listen to stories shared by community partners and students, then engage in arts and crafts. Refreshments served. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, we will also have a book giveaway while supplies last. 

The National Council of Teachers of English and its Black Caucus established the National African American Read -In in 1990 to encourage communities to read together, centering African American books and authors. More than six million people have participated worldwide since its inception.
