Overcome a series of STEM challenges and learn about associated scientific jobs. Ages 10-16. Register once for all sessions. Sep 24: <b>Chemist and Polymer Scientist</b> <b>Natural Glue Challenge:</b> Formulate a glue using bio-friendly ingredients comparing the glue's performance against a standard wood glue for drying time strength and adhesion. <b>Corny Polymer Balls Challenge:</b> Develop and test a hypothesis to determine the practical use of glue borax and corn start to enhance the bounce factor for a children's disposable toy ball. Oct 8: <b>Animal Scientist and Agricultural Engineer</b> <b>Ag Bot Challenge:</b> Create the most cost effective livestock handling facility to move the ag bots from the corral to the barn safely in the least amount of time. <b>Ag Bot Harvest:</b> Engineer a device that harvests the most grain in the least time for your specific site operation. Nov 19: <b>Geologist and Materials Scientist</b> <b>Cookie Prospecting Challenge:</b> Go cookie prospecting. Collect a sample analyze and determine a site's potential for mining. Contact with food allergens may occur. <b>Please Just Contain It:</b> Develop and test a hypothesis to determine hydrogel's absorption capacity for different wasters.
